As the end of the 2019 school year approached everyone’s anticipation grew, because what happens on the last day of school? Parties of course! Everyone was looking forward to the games, snacks and fun that would follow their finals. Unfortunately the last couple weeks of classes were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic and along with them the end of year parties. Luckily, one class did get to celebrate. Our intermediate writing class gathered together on May 26 to eat pizza, read their favorite papers from the year, recite poetry and have a shaving cream/water balloon war. At the end of the day everyone agreed that the party was a blast and they couldn’t wait to see each other again next year.
